Here at Calibre, we believe you can do absolutely anything you put your mind to. All you need, is a reliable timepiece as your trusted companion. 2019 saw one man achieve the impossible. Bremont Ambassador Nirmal “Nims” Purja MBE firmly took his place in mountaineering history when he completed Project Possible, a challenge to summit Earth’s 14 tallest mountains, all higher than 8,000m, in less than 7 months.

There are only 14 mountains on earth higher than 8,000m – and they are all located in the Himalayas. It’s not surprising that these peaks are referred to as the ‘death zone’ as human life cannot exist there. Smashing the previous record of nearly 8 years and breaking a further 6 world records in the process, Nim’s extreme feat is arguably a record unlikely to be broken. Of course, Nim needed a timepiece to accompany him and wore a Bremont S300 during his ascent of all 14 mountains.

Bremont Project Possible Limited Edition

In honour of this and to mark their involvement as lead sponsor for Project Possible, Bremont released a limited-edition timepiece. Limited to only 300 pieces, this watch is built from titanium and bronze. Boasting a dark blue dial with bronze bezel and ceramic blue insert, teamed with bronze hands, the Special Edition Bremont Project Possible is for the ambitious.

“I believed in this project and I made sure to surround myself with people who believed in it too. This was never just about me, which is the reason I’ve been able to overcome some huge obstacles on this journey. By achieving this goal I knew I could inspire people from all generations, across the world. I hope to have shown that anything is possible when you set your mind to it.” Nirmal “Nims” Purja MBE

“We’re incredibly proud to have been involved in Bremont Project Possible since the beginning.

“Nims is a total inspiration. Never has a mechanical watch been quite so well-travelled in such a short period of time!

“Our watches have a history of being tested to their limits in extreme environments and this is absolutely testament to their durability and reliability.” Bremont Co-Founder, Nick English

Nims’ amazing accomplishment has been documented and will be available to view on Netflix from Monday 29th November. 14 Peaks: Nothing is Impossible, is a thrilling, action-packed story about courage, perseverance, and pushing the limits of human endurance over 189 days.
