Here we’ve picked out a few of our favourites, including some distinctive diamond shapes such as pear and marquise-cut. We love jewellery that has unique character as well as great beauty – and we hope you agree that these pieces fit that description perfectly.

Set Sail

Said to have been created when King Louis XV of France commissioned a jeweller to create a stone in the shape of his mistress’s lips, the marquise cut is also known as the navette cut, which translates as ‘little boat’. And this all makes sense once you see the sophisticated pointed-oval shape of these diamonds. The cut has all the ‘fire’ of a brilliant-cut diamond with its many facets, while the points at each end of the stone are believed to elongate and slim the fingers when the shape is set within a ring. Our graduated marquise pieces each display five of these elliptical gemstones. The pendant gives a combined weight of 1.26 carats and is designed to flatter a décolletage with the subtly increasing size of the diamonds. The 18-carat white-gold graduated marquise-cut hoop earrings feature the same design, boasting a combined weight of 2.37 carats.

Future Heirloom

There has long been debate over which diamond cut maximises the sparkle from a stone. The brilliant cut is generally agreed to take the top spot by offering the most reflection, but there are definite advantages to other diamond shapes. We’ve embraced a selection of cuts for our 18-carat white-gold mixed cut diamond drop earrings to ensure maximum sparkle.

We have also united diamond cuts for our captivating 18-carat white-gold diamond multi-stone necklace, which holds an immense combined 12.51 carats of perfect diamonds A high level of craftsmanship is evident within the curation of this necklace, which resembles a delicate spider’s web with glistening raindrops of diamonds set within. This asymmetrical piece is undoubtedly unique and the intricacies of the necklace demand a second look.

Thrice as Nice

Our asymmetrical pear-shaped pieces are a fresh take on a classic design, with a trio of diamonds displayed at the base of three 18-carat white-gold settings. The pear-shaped gemstones are balanced by the ‘sunburst’ design sitting at the rounded top end, while the subtle curve of the pendant makes this necklace even more distinctive. The design is echoed by the earrings, each stud having the same three-pronged design and the same wonderful artistry of the cut diamond.

Of course, diamond settings can be much simpler while remaining equally effective. Our 18-carat white-gold diamond eternity ring has 6.33 carats of pear-cut gemstones, set in an alternating pattern to create an unending row of sparkling stones. The pear cut is favoured for its combination of brilliant-cut rounded end and elegant point, and this design highlights both aspects of the cut beautifully, while also delivering maximum sparkle.
