From a recently purchased watch, a special piece of jewellery or inherited silverware, we know your possessions are precious and we want to help you protect them.

A professional valuation from Mappin & Webb is invaluable for insurance. Our service is simple and good value, as we charge a fixed fee for valuing your jewellery, not a percentage of its value.

Your Mappin & Webb Valuation

Most insurance companies ask for proof of ownership and a professional valuation of items you want covered. Often, they also need good quality photographs and detailed descriptions. Our valuation gives you all this, making it easy for you to prove the value of your jewellery to your insurer, and, if any items are recovered by the police, it may help repatriate them to you.

Our experts examine your items and provide a written valuation. This can be used for insurance purposes.
We take digital photographs, note any distinguishing features and write a full description of each item. This makes it much easier to identify your jewellery if it's lost or stolen.
If your jewellery is ever lost or stolen your valuation can be used in search portals which allows the police to identify personal property.
